The conservation of tree walls and the 'Old and Valuable' trees in Central and Western District has been taken into consideration since the preliminary design stage of WIL Project. Extensive protection measures have been employed during project construction to avoid any impact on them.
Following the guidelines specifically developed for the WIL by tree experts, the MTR Corporation assessed each and every tree affected by the construction of the WIL.
